In 1995, Terumo collaborated with Dr. Yuji Ikari to develop the world’s first catheter featuring the Ikari curve.

The unique design of the Ikari Left allows access to both left and right coronary arteries, eliminating the need for catheter exchanges and contributing to reducing door-to-balloon time and minimizing radiation exposure during STEMI procedures.
