National Commendation for Invention 2023

We are pleased to announce that Terumo has been awarded the Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award at the National Commendation for Invention 2023 (sponsored by the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation), for the patented invention related to drug application technology used in Terumo’s drug eluting stent, Ultimaster™ Family. 

The National Commendation for Invention aims to foster scientific and technological progress while contributing to the development of industry by recognizing the outstanding achievements of those who have made contributions to the completion, implementation, and encouragement of inventions in Japan. 
 

Terumo will continue to contribute to advancement of healthcare and the enhancement of patients’ quality of life through providing solutions that support people's health and lives.
